Karis & Doni’s Joyful Greek Wedding at Stone Barn

From the moment I arrived at The Frogmill on the morning of Karis & Doni’s wedding, I could tell this day was going to be something special. Despite the rain hammering down from all angles (classic British weather), the energy in the room was calm, joyful, and full of anticipation. Karis and her girls were sipping bubbly, laughing through hair and makeup, and just soaking up the moment. Next door, Doni was starting to feel the nerves and knowing what was coming later, I don’t blame him!

A Beautiful Cotswold Ceremony at Stone Barn

Set in the rolling Cotswold hills, Stone Barn is a dream venue for couples wanting a modern yet rustic countryside wedding. Think dramatic vaulted ceilings, exposed stone walls, roaring open fires, and epic views of the surrounding fields. The ceremony space, with its warm lighting and wooden doors, feels intimate but impressive, a perfect blend of tradition and style.

As Karis walked through those wooden doors, the look on her face said it all. Pure happiness. It was one of those moments that reminds you why this job matters so much capturing real, raw emotion that can’t be staged.

After they said "I do," we moved straight into confetti and Greek tunes floating through the air, setting the tone for a celebration full of life, laughter, and so much dancing.

Why Greek Weddings Are Now My Favourite Thing

I’ve photographed a lot of weddings, but Greek weddings? They hit different.

From the high energy dancing to the heartfelt traditions, there’s something truly special about the way Greek families celebrate. One of my favourite moments from Karis & Doni’s day was the money dance, where guests pinned cash to the bride and groom as a symbol of love, prosperity, and good luck. And then there’s the dancing… Doni didn’t get a break! Every man in the room took a turn dancing with him and he didn’t stop smiling once.

The atmosphere was electric, and you could feel the love in every corner of the room. Guests weren’t just watching they were fully in it. That’s what I love about weddings like this: they’re not a performance, they’re a proper celebration.

The Party You Don’t Want to Miss

After speeches, more incredible food from Stone Barn’s fire-roasted kitchen, and a few sneaky espresso martinis, the dance floor exploded. Thanks to the incredible Cleopatra Greek Band, there wasn’t a single quiet moment. This was one of those parties where I didn’t want to leave, even though I had a camera in my hand, I felt like part of the family.

These are the weddings I live for. Ones where the energy is high, the traditions are strong, and the love is louder than the music. If that sounds like your kind of day and you hate the idea of posing for hours, then we might be a perfect fit.
